Welcome to the Southeastern Symposium on Mental Health 2017

Dear Colleagues and Friends:

Welcome to the 2017 Southeastern Symposium on Mental Health.

Greenville Health System (GHS) is pleased to host this important event for a second year with our academic and community partners.

For those of you not familiar with GHS, we are a nationally-recognized academic health center committed to advancing patient care through research, scholarship, education and clinical excellence. We believe that the most powerful innovations in addressing our communities’ health needs are developed through partnerships. This symposium is an unmatched opportunity for all of us to work together to share new ideas, proven methods, evidence-based practices, and explore collaborative efforts in mental health.

I would also like to welcome you to Greenville, South Carolina. Greenville is recognized nationally as a wonderful place to start a business, raise a family, and enjoy the arts and outdoors. I encourage you to explore the many ways to get to know our city. Watch a baseball game with the Greenville Drive, the Single A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, take a stroll or bike ride on the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail, or enjoy the shops and restaurants downtown. No matter what you choose, I know you will enjoy your time in Greenville.

Again, welcome to the 2017 Southeastern Symposium on Mental Health.
